Growth Outlook

Maverick has considerable growth potential from:

  • Reserves maturation, developments and discoveries at Blue Ridge;
  • Potential reserves bookings and progression at Boling; and
  • Potential reserves bookings and progression of the company's Nash acreage.

Key Risks/ Uncertainties
Issue Core Comment
Oil Price Maverick’s value is highly leveraged to oil price. There is a risk that these could decrease, which would have an impact on company cash flows.
Exchange Rate Maverick is listed on the ASX, however the company's functional currency is USD. Consequently there is risk of unfavourable movement in the USD against the AUD.
Forward Well Program Although Management has indicated that over the next 6 months the company plans to increase the drilling rate as cash flows allow to around 5 to 6 wells per month there exists uncertainty over the company’s ability to execute these plans and also the drilling program at Blue Ridge beyond this 6 month period.
Reserves Uncertainty Due to the complex nature of salt dome structures such as Blue Ridge any reserves estimates obtained are not considered to have a high level of accuracy. There is consequently risk that reserves reported are not actually achieved.
Boling Performance Despite early results at Boling, and existing production, Maverick are yet to book any reserves at the field and consequently future potential is uncertain.
Nash Performance There has been limited historical production at Nash and Maverick is yet to book reserves at the field. Consequently future potential is uncertain.

Upside Potential
Issue Core Comment
Oil Price MAD’s value is highly leveraged to oil price. There is potential for oil prices to increase, which would have an impact on company cash flows.
Exchange Rate MAD is listed on the ASX, however the company's functional currency is USD. Consequently there is potential for favourable movement in the USD against the AUD which would impact the conversion of cash flows into AUD.
Reserves Maturation Even though the complex nature of salt dome structures means any reserve estimates may potentially have some inaccuracy, at recent market prices Maverick offers upside potential with the demonstration of continued performance. There is also potential for additional reserve bookings at Blue Ridge Dome.
Boling Dome
Despite the current uncertainy around reserves and performance at Boling Dome there is potential for upside with reserve bookings in the next 6 months and ramp up of production.
Nash Dome Performance Despite the current uncertainy around reserves and performance at Nash Dome there is potential for upside with reserve bookings in the next 6 months and ramp up of production.
Exploration Maverick offers additional upside from exploration success at Edwards Reef and Foothold Prospects.
